Can you Make Chocolate Chip Cookies with Bisquick Mix?
Yes, it’s a great option if you want homemade cookies with less effort. You won’t be sacrificing taste for convenience. This shortcut recipe uses simple pantry staples like butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and an egg mixed with Bisquick baking mix and chocolate chips to create an easy cookie dough.

Here’s how to make this Bisquick cookie recipe:
- The dough comes together by creaming softened butter and brown sugar, then mixing in the egg and vanilla before adding the baking mix.
- Chocolate chips are folded in, the dough is scooped onto prepared baking sheets, and baked until the edges are set and lightly golden.
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 20–30 minutes before baking.
- Let the cookies cool briefly before transferring to a rack, then store at room temperature or freeze for later.

Butter that’s too warm or overmixing the dough can cause extra spreading. Chilling the dough helps.
Both freeze well. Scoop dough before freezing, or freeze baked cookies for up to three months.
Yes, you can in some recipes, but it isn’t a direct one-to-one swap. Bisquick already contains flour, leavening, fat, and salt, so it works best in recipes where those ingredients are already included or easy to adjust. It’s especially useful for quick breads, pancakes, and cookies where you want a shortcut and more consistent results.
