These blue chocolate chip cookies are based on a recipe from the book series Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan. 

This tasty cookie recipe is simple to make, and the end result is a delicious, blue cookie. Use the blue dough for blue cookies recipes for Independence Day celebrations, blue crinkle cookies, cookie monster cookies or use festive menorah cookie cutters for Hanukkah.

How to Make Percy Jackson’s Blue Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Ingredients 

  • Pillsbury™ Blue Funfetti® Cake Mix
  • 1 Egg 
  • 4 tbsps Vegetable oil 
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or swap out for white sprinkles

Directions 

  1. Mix the cake mix with egg and vegetable oil in a large mixing bowl
  2. Mix in chocolate chips. 
  3. Line an ungreased cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  5. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out cookie dough balls
  6. Add a few extra chocolate chips into the dough. 
  7. Add to the oven for a baking time of 7-9 minutes.
  8. For best results, cool your blue chocolate chip cookies on a wire rack completely before enjoying.
  9. Store your tasty cookies in an airtight container for a couple days.

How Can I Make Blue Cookies? 

Recently a few readers have mentioned that they can longer find this cookie mix. If that is you, you can simply use a regular cake mix! You can use my recipe for cake mix cookies. Just add a few drops of blue food coloring until you achieve your desired color.

Sure! You can use my recipe for cake batter cookies: https://www.mommalew.com/cake-batter-cookie-recipe/ Just use a white cake mix and no sprinkles, but a couple of drops of blue food coloring.
