How to Make Homemade Sweet Potato Fries
Be sure to scroll down for the full recipe with simple ingredients and instructions. Full disclosure, I include affiliate links to my favorite products.
Ingredients:
For the sweet potato fries:
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
For the Fry Sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 of 16oz bag of mini marshmallows
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar

On a cutting board, using a sharp knife or fry cutter, slice your whole sweet potato into long slices. Your fry size will depend on how big of a large sweet potato you use, but your potato sticks should be about a 1/4″ wide to obtain a crispy sweet potato fry. Thicker fries won’t get crisp.

In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fry slices in a little oil and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.
You can also sprinkle a teaspoon garlic powder or a teaspoon paprika. If you would like or for a kick try chili powder or cayenne pepper.
Preheat your air-fryer to 400 degrees f. Spray the baking sheet with non stick cooking spray.
For best results, cook your sweet potato fries in a few batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
Lay them flat side down. You never want to overfill your air fryer basket.

Fry for a cooking time of 8-10 minutes.
When your sweet potato fries are done, lay your first batch on paper towel lined baking sheets in a single layer and continue to cook the next batch.

For a sweet addition to the crispy fries, try this Marshmallow Dipping Sauce, although any of your favorite dipping sauce works too!

How to Make the Marshmallow Dipping Sauce:
In a small saucepan, add heavy cream and marshmallows.
Stir frequently until the mixture starts to warm and the marshmallows are melted.
Once the mixture begins to simmer, stir in cinnamon and brown sugar, and stir constantly while the mixture simmers for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow the marshmallow sauce to cool slightly, then pour into a small bowl for dipping.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
