What are the ingredients for spinach artichoke dip?
Here’s a quick breakdown of each ingredient and what it brings to your spinach artichoke dip:
- Cream Cheese – The creamy, tangy base that gives the dip its rich and smooth texture. Letting it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes makes it easier to mix.
- Mayonnaise – Adds extra creaminess and a touch of tang to balance the flavors and help everything blend together.
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese – Gives the dip that irresistible melty, gooey cheese pull. It also helps bind everything together when baked.
- Minced Garlic – Adds a bold kick that complements the spinach and artichokes perfectly.
- Canned Artichoke Hearts – Provide a tender, slightly tangy bite with a unique flavor that pairs beautifully with spinach and cheese.
- Frozen Chopped Spinach – Brings color and texture. Be sure to squeeze out all excess water so the dip stays thick and creamy.

How to Make Spinach Artichoke Dip:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, saving ½ cup of mozzarella for the topping.
- Spread the mixture in the dish, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for about 25 minutes—until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is golden and melted.
- If you love a crispy cheese topping, broil the dip for the last 2-3 minutes of baking—but keep a close eye so it doesn’t burn.

Typically, for up to 3-4 days when stored properly in an airtight container. It’s important to note that the dip can spoil quickly if left at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 15–20 minutes, covered with foil, until hot and bubbly. For quick single servings, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. You can also use a slow cooker on low heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through. Add a splash of milk if the dip seems too thick.

What is good to dip into spinach artichoke dip?
A variety of dippers work!
- Try tortilla chips, buttery crackers, toasted baguette slices, pita chips, or pretzel crisps.
- For a lighter option, go with fresh veggies like carrot sticks, celery, bell pepper strips, or cucumber rounds.
- You can even use it as a spread for sandwiches or wraps!
