How to Make Crab Biscuits
- Start by preparing your cheddar bay biscuit mix according to the package directions, adding a pinch of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, or Old Bay to boost the flavor.
- Gently fold in well-drained lump crab meat so the dough stays light and fluffy. Use lump crab meat when possible since it gives the best flavor and texture. If using canned crab, drain it well and gently pat it dry so the biscuits don’t get soggy.

- Press the dough into a muffin tin to create a small bowl shape that holds the crab filling, then add optional mix-ins like green onions, shredded cheddar, or a dash of hot sauce if you’d like extra flavor.
- Bake until golden.
- Brush with lemon butter right after baking. This step makes a huge difference. The warm biscuits soak up the buttery citrus flavor and tastes bright and savory.
- Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
