How to Make Red Velvet Cake Dip
- Heat-treat the cake mix in the microwave for about 90 seconds. This step is essential for food safety. Make sure the mix reaches 165°F. If needed, microwave in additional 15–20 second intervals.
- Then beat it together with whipped topping, softened cream cheese, and milk until smooth and fluffy.
- Spoon into a serving bowl, cover tightly, and chill for a couple of hours so the dip thickens and the flavors blend.
- Before serving, sprinkle on sprinkles or white chocolate chips.
