*The printable version of this recipe is at the bottom of this post.
Ingredients:
- 18 oz. package of regular Oreos
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 6 oz. brown or black candy melts or almond bark
- Candy eyes – about 50

Instructions:
Place a box of oreos into a food processor until crumbs are fine.

Scoop about 2/3 cup of cookie crumbs for later.

Cut cream cheese into smaller chunks and add to the food processor until cream cheese and cookies are well blended.
Using a small scoop or spoon, scoop out 25 tablespoon size balls the Oreo mixture and roll each scoop into a ball.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark and put into a small squeeze bottle, piping bag or you could use a Ziploc bag and make a very small cut in the corner.
Pipe spider legs onto parchment paper or wax paper. These legs will just be an “L” shape. You will need 6 spider legs per spider. I would recommend making extra in case of breakage.

Place candy legs into a freezer on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes to fully harden.
Attach cute candy eyes on top of the cookie by using some of the excess melted chocolate.

Insert 6 legs into each spider body.

Store your spooky spider cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. Be sure to place a piece of parchment paper between layers to prevent them from sticking together.
