How do you make no bake Oreo Spider cookies?
Gather ingredients:
To make the Oreo spiders, blend Oreos and softened cream cheese until well combined.
You can use any type of Oreo, whether it’s the classic version, double stuf, Halloween oreos or golden oreo cookies.
If the Oreo and cream cheese mixture feels too soft or sticky to roll into balls, pop it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to firm up.
Roll the mixture into 25 tablespoon-sized balls using a small scoop to make your spiders look uniform and neat.
Make extra legs! These can be fragile, so having spares ensures you won’t run short in case of breakage. Freezing the candy legs helps them harden quickly and stay sturdy, making it easier to attach them to the spiders without melting.
You do not have to use chocolate to make your spider legs. Try using pretzel sticks, pocky sticks, black licorice or licorice strings as an alternative.
Place candy legs into a freezer on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes to fully harden.
Attach cute candy eyes on top of the cookie by using some of the excess melted chocolate.
If using candy melts, pick a brand that melts smoothly to avoid clumping. Almond bark is a great alternative for smoother piping.
If you don’t have a piping bag, use a Ziploc bag and cut a small hole in one corner.
To place the cute candy eyes perfectly, use tweezers to avoid fingerprints or smudges on the chocolate.
Keeping the spiders in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving will help everything set properly, making them easier to handle and serve.
Store Oreo Spiders in the fridge for several days in an airtight container.
