How to Make a Halloween Frosting Board
Sketch out your frosting board design on a piece of parchment paper before you start decorating. Use this template to make a Ghost Frosting Board.
Decide on the color palette, theme, and arrangement of treats.
Make your vanilla buttercream frosting (or use store-bought) and divide it into different bowls if using different colors. You can add gel food coloring to create vibrant Halloween shades like orange, green, purple, and black. Whip it until smooth and creamy.
Use a large cookie sheet or large cutting board to use as the base.
Then using piping bags or spoons, scoop your colored buttercream into sections on the board. Use different piping tips for the buttercream to create various textures and patterns. Swirls, blobs, and textured peaks work great!
Decorate around the buttercream with assorted candies and toppings filling up all of the empty spaces. Think of using candy eyes, gummy worms, candy corn, Halloween-themed sprinkles, and more to give the board a spooky vibe.
Place dippable treats like cookies, crackers, mini cupcakes, or anything that can be dipped into the frosting around the board.
