What type of apples should I use for this recipe?
Our favorite fresh apples to use for the apple filling are Granny Smith apples. They are tart and firm, which will hold up well in the air fryer. Different varieties such as Honeycrisp or Braeburn would also work well. Be sure to avoid overly sweet apples like Golden Delicious or Rome for this recipe.
