Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers recipe

What’s better than a stuffed pepper? An air fryer stuffed pepper, of course! 

It’s quick, easy, and produces perfectly cooked peppers every time. A family favorite perfect for a busy weeknight meal

In this recipe, we stuff sweet peppers with a flavorful mixture of ground beef, rice and melted cheese, then air fry them to perfection for the ultimate comfort food!

Thanks to using the air fryer, there is no need to pre-boil your peppers as you would in traditional stuffed pepper recipes. The hot air from air frying makes for a tender pepper.

Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients 

• 4 Fresh Bell Peppers – yellow bell peppers, red bell peppers or green bell peppers

• 1 Cup White Rice (cooked)

• 1lb Lean Ground Beef (browned)

• 1 tsp Garlic (fresh or garlic powder)

• 1 tsp Salt 

• 1 tsp Black Pepper

• 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese 

• 6 oz Tomato Paste or tomato sauce

• 10 oz Diced Tomatoes

Instructions

Preheat the air Fryer to 350 degrees f.

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, rice,garlic, salt, pepper, tomato paste & tomatoes.

Cut the tops off of the peppers & clean out the centers.

Scoop the ground beef mixture into each pepper.

Place the peppers onto the air fryer basket and air fry for a cook time of 10 minutes.

Remove from the air fryer & sprinkle each pepper with cheddar cheese and place the basket back into the air fryer for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. 

*It is important to note that a different brand of air fryer will change the amount of cooking time.

The Best Side Dishes for Stuffed Peppers

There are a lot of different things you can serve as side dishes with stuffed peppers. Some people like to keep it simple and just have a side salad or some garlic bread on the side. 

For something a bit more filling, a simple recipe for roasted potatoes or quinoa works well. No matter what you choose, I’m sure your taste buds will love the delicious flavors!

Different Ways to Enjoy Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers 

Swap out the cheddar cheese for mozzarella cheese, colby jack cheese, pepper jack or vegan cheese.

Instead of ground beef, use ground chicken, Italian sausage or lean ground turkey. 

Cauliflower rice or brown rice can be used in place of white rice.
