Imagine sinking your teeth into a warm, perfectly baked Danish filled with your favorite flavors. This recipe will guide you step-by-step to create irresistible pastries right in your air fryer.

Our easy danish recipe starts with a quick and easy pastry dough – premade biscuits. But, you have the option to use pre-made sheets of puff pastry or buttery crescent rolls for convenience.

One of the joys of making air fryer Danish is the endless possibilities for the fruit topping. From classic fruit preserves to indulgent cream cheese, you can customize your pastries to suit your tastes.

The air fryer bakes danish to perfection. The beautiful golden exterior of the fruit pastries is due to the even cooking of the air fryer, which results in a crispy and flaky crust. Just preheat your air fryer, arrange the pastries in a single layer, and let the air fryer work its magic.

Air fryer danish are the perfect breakfast treat, whether you’re enjoying a leisurely weekend morning or hosting a special gathering. The buttery, flaky pastry pairs beautifully with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

What is a Danish?

A Danish pastry is a sweet, flaky pastry that originated in Denmark. While there are various types and flavors of Danish pastries, the classic Danish typically consists of a buttery dough that is layered and folded to create a light and airy texture.

They can come in various shapes, including a spiral, braid, or simply folded over. Danish pastries can be enjoyed as a delightful snack anytime you’re craving something sweet and satisfying.

What’s in a Danish?

A simple Danish recipe is often filled with a variety of delicious fillings such as fruit preserves or a cream cheese flavor. Danish pastries are often topped with a glaze, icing, or sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Some popular Danish variations include apple, cherry, blueberry, and cheese. A few of my favorite things to use are:

  • A teaspoon jam or preserves (strawberry, apricot, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry)
  • A mixture of cream cheese and jam or preserves
  • Nutella
  • Use different fruits such as apple pie filling to make air fryer apple danish or a sweet cherry pie filling for an air fryer cherry danish.
  • Cheesecake filling (cream cheese filling, sugar, vanilla extract) makes a cream cheese danish
