  • Start by choosing firm apples that will hold their shape while cooking. Varieties like Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith all work well.
  • Core the apples and remove the seeds, leaving the bottoms intact if you’d like to keep the filling from spilling out.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter, then mix up your filling and gently stuff each apple. You can customize the flavor by adding raisins, cranberries, or a dash of nutmeg.
  • Place the apples in the air fryer and cook until they’re tender and the filling is golden brown. Be sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  • Serve warm on their own or with homemade whipped cream, ice cream, or a drizzle of honey.
How long to cook baked apples in the air fryer?

They typically cook in the air fryer for 12 to 15 minutes at 350°F, depending on the size and firmness of the apples. You’ll know they’re done when the apples are tender but still holding their shape, and the filling is golden and bubbly. Keep an eye on them toward the end to avoid overcooking!

Can I prep them ahead of time?

Yes! You can core and stuff the apples a few hours in advance. Store them in the fridge until ready to cook.
