Can Any Cake Recipe Be Made in a Bundt Pan?

Absolutely! No matter what recipe you choose to make in a bundt pan, it is important to remember that due its fluted design, cakes baked in this type of vessel typically require longer cooking time than other types of cakes (upwards 20 minutes extra).

Also keep an eye out for signs that your cake is done—a good indication is when edges start pulling away from sides slightly or when inserted knife/toothpick comes out clean.

How to Frost a Bundt Cake

There’s nothing like a perfectly frosted bundt cake! Here are some tips to get your Bundt cake looking and tasting its best:

  • Once it is fully cooled, transfer your Bundt cake onto a plate or flat surface that provides enough room so that the icing won’t spread too far.
  • Then slowly start spreading the icing onto each side of the bundt: Start by drizzling thin lines of icing on top of each individual ridge in an outward motion from top to bottom, adding more as necessary until all ridges are generously coated – this will give them definition and depth!
  • Keep gradually building up layers, working from left-to-right until most (but not necessarily all) sides are covered with nice even coats.

Making a delicious and simple glaze for a Bundt cake doesn’t have to be complicated! With just four ingredients – powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract and milk – you can make your Bundt cake stand out from the rest. Change it up by making a peanut butter glaze, chocolate glaze or swap the extract for almond extract.

How to Remove a Bundt Cake

Here are some tips and tricks to make it easier:

  • Grease the bundt cake pan well before baking. Make sure that all crevices are completely saturated with cake release or non-stick cooking spray
  • Start by letting the cake cool completely in the pan – this is key to help prevent the cake from sticking or breaking apart.
  • Carefully run a thin, sharp knife around the edge of the pan, working your way around until you have loosened all sides of the bundt cake.
  • Place an inverted cake plate on top of the bundt cake and turn both upside down so that they’re resting on each other (this will give more support while turning over).
  • Firmly tap and jiggle both pans together until you’ve created enough separation between them for you to remove your Bundt Cake in one piece
How to store bundt cake?

The first step in storing a bundt cake is to let it cool completely, this will help retain the moisture in the cake, keeping it soft and fluffy for longer. Once cooled, wrap your cake tightly with plastic wrap and place it into an airtight container within two hours of baking so that you can lock in all those amazing flavors while they’re still fresh!

Store your bundt cake at room temperature. Finally, if you plan on storing your bundt cake for more than two days, freeze it! Place your wrapped up bundle into an air-tight container or freezer bag and store in the freezer until ready to eat – this will keep its freshness best. To thaw, simply leave out on the countertop overnight.

How many servings in a bundt cake?

It depends on what size of bundt cake you have. Generally speaking, traditional bundt pans come in two sizes. A smaller 8”-10” pan can make an average 10 to 12 servings, while a larger one (12-14 inch) will easily yield 15 to 20 servings.

No matter which size bundt pan you use, just make sure it’s filled at least halfway with the cake batter so that your finished product rises nicely and has plenty of room for decoration if desired.
