How to Make This Creamy Peanut Butter Dip
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (4tbsp) butter, softened at room temperature
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips + more for the outside of the football
- White frosting
Instructions
Leave your cream cheese and butter on the counter to come to room temperature and soften. This will give your dip a smoother consistency and make it easier to mix everything together.
While I like to use creamy peanut butter for this recipe, a crunchy peanut butter will also be fine and will add even more texture to your dip.
Cream together the peanut butter, butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl until it is well blended and fluffy with an electric mixer on medium speed.
Add in the vanilla extract.
Finally, add in the powdered sugar. A little at a time. Start at low speed and work your way up. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
Making the football shape is super easy. Lay a large piece of parchment paper on your serving tray. Place your peanut butter dip in the center and fold the parchment over it. Shape the dip into a football shape. Remove the parchment paper.
Top your Peanut Butter Football Dip with mini chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, reese’s pieces, reese’s peanut butter cups or skor bits.
Make the laces for the football with white frosting.
After you have your football shape, surround your dip with your cookies!
What to Serve with Your Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Dip
Serve with strawberries, apple slices, ritz cracker, celery sticks, graham crackers, pretzel sticks or your favorite cookies like nilla wafers.

This great recipe is even better the next day! Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Your dip will last 2-3 days.
