How to Make Dorito Chicken
Gather the ingredients:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees f and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, placing a wire rack on top.
Placing the coated chicken tenders on a wire rack helps them cook evenly and stay crispy, as it allows the heat to circulate around them. If you don’t have a wire rack, you can place them directly on the baking sheet, but they might not get as crispy.
Start by whisking together an egg and milk for the egg wash.
Use a food processor or a rolling pin to crush the Doritos into fine crumbs. The finer the crumbs, the better the coating will stick to the chicken.
Add crushed Doritos in a shallow dish.
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch strips.
Dip each strip into the egg wash followed by the Doritos.
Bake the coated chicken strips for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like blue cheese dressing or barbecue sauces.
If you have leftovers, reheat them in the oven at 375°F for about 5-10 minutes to maintain that crispy texture.
