Doritos Crusted Chicken Tenders

These Dorito Chicken Tenders are coated in crushed Doritos and baked until crispy and golden. They're an easy, kid-friendly dinner that's packed with cheesy flavor and delicious served with your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup Milk
  • 1 Bag Doritos
  • 1 lb Chicken pieces such as Skinless Chicken Breasts or Chicken Tenders

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place an oven-safe wire rack overtop. Set aside.
  3. In a shallow dish make the egg mixture by whisking together the egg and milk. Set aside.
  4. Place Doritos in a food processor and blitz until chips resemble fine crumbs. Or a ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  5. Empty into a second shallow dish.
  6. Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch strips.
  7. Dredge the chicken tenders in the egg wash mixture, and then coat the whole strip in the chip coating.
  8. Place the coated chicken strips on the prepared cookie sheet.
  9. Continue with the remaining chicken strips.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until an inserted meat thermometer reads an internal temperature of 165F.

Recipe Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, place the chicken in an air fryer or oven until warmed through and crispy again. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it softens the coating.
