How to Make Dog Treats in the Air Fryer
Making homemade dog treats is quick and easy after gathering your ingredients!

Start by mixing pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs in a large bowl.
Gradually add in the flour until a dough forms, then knead it until it reaches a soft consistency. Make sure your dough is soft, not sticky or crumbly — add flour gradually until the right texture is reached.
Roll out the dough and cut it into bone shapes using a cookie cutter. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to prevent treats from sticking and make cleanup easier.

Place the treats in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch. Cook at 370°F for 4-5 minutes until lightly golden. Since air fryers vary, check your treats a minute or two before the suggested time to avoid overbaking.

Let them cool, then store in an airtight container.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Dog Treats
- It’s important that you only use natural peanut butter when making homemade dog biscuits with no added sugar and zero xylitol. Xylitol is toxic to your furry friend and added sugar can mess with their blood sugar. There are many natural peanut butter options available at the local grocery store.
- You can use all purpose flour, oat flour or whole wheat flour. Both are safe for dogs, especially since they’re being cooked.
- You can make a smaller batch of these dog treats, just cut the recipe in half.
- If you need softer treats, keep the cook time as listed. If you want a crunchy treat, increase your cooking time by three minutes or until the treat has reached the right consistency.

Yes! Freeze the treats for long-term storage. If you have made a large batch of treats or want to store them for an extended period of time, consider freezing them. Place the treats in a freezer-safe container or ziplock bag and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
