A poke cake is an easy way to make a decadent dessert recipe. After baking a delicious cake, with the end of a wooden spoon, you poke holes throughout the cake. Then a filling seeps through the holes.

How to Make an Easy Homemade Snickers Cake 

Ingredients:

Directions:

Spray a 9×13 inch cake pan with non stick cooking spray.

Prepare and cook box cake mix according to package directions.

Meanwhile, prepare chocolate pudding mix according to package directions. Set aside.

Once the cake is removed from the oven, use the handle of a wooden spoon or chopstick to poke holes all over the top of the warm cake – trying not to go through the whole thickness of the cake.

Drizzle the caramel syrup on top of the cake.

The next step his to add a layer of pudding all over the cake. Smooth the pudding into an even layer using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.

Let cake cool in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Top with a thick layer of the whipped cream topping, smoothing down in an even layer.

Just before serving, pour caramel and chocolate syrup on top of the whipped topping and garnish with any remaining caramel syrup and chocolate syrup plus chopped Snickers.

Ingredients

  • 1 boxed chocolate cake
  • - Plus ingredients called for on box
  • 1 box chocolate pudding
  • - Plus ingredients called for on box
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Caramel Sundae Topping
  • 1 Tablespoon Chocolate Sundae Topping
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (approximately 2-3 cups)
  • Snickers, sliced in 1/2" thickness for garnish

Instructions

Prepare and cook boxed cake mix according to package directions.

Meanwhile, prepare chocolate pudding mix according to package directions. Set aside.

Once cake is removed from oven, use the end of a wooden spoon or chopstick to poke holes all over the top of the cake - trying not to go through the whole thickness of the cake.

Drizzle the caramel sundae topping all over the cake, then pour the chocolate pudding all over the cake.

Smooth the pudding into an even layer using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.

Place cake in the fridge to cool slightly, then top with the Cool Whip, smoothing down in an even layer.

Garnish with any remaining caramel sundae syrup and chocolate sundae syrup plus chopped Snickers.

Notes

(Tip: wait to drizzle the cake until just before ready to serve, as the sundae syrups will start to spread.)
