What flavors go in a Snickers coffee?

A Snickers coffee combines the same flavors you expect from the candy bar: chocolate, caramel and peanut with coffee as the base.

The coffee keeps the drink from becoming overly sweet, while milk makes it smooth and creamy.

For an even stronger Snickers flavor, add a little peanut butter or peanut butter syrup along with the chocolate and caramel. Finish the drink with whipped cream, chopped peanuts or even pieces of a Snickers bar.

What You’ll Need to Make Snickers Coffee

You only need a handful of ingredients!

  • Coffee: Use chilled brewed coffee, cold brew or espresso. Strong coffee works especially well since you’re adding milk and sweet sauces.
  • Chocolate sauce: Gives the drink its candy-bar chocolate flavor.
  • Caramel sauce: Adds the buttery caramel flavor associated with Snickers.
  • Milk: Whole milk makes the drink creamier, but you can use whatever milk you normally add to coffee.
  • Peanut butter: Optional, but recommended if you want the drink to taste more like an actual Snickers bar.
  • Ice: Fill the glass generously so the coffee stays cold.
  • Toppings: Whipped cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, chopped peanuts or chopped Snickers are all good options.

How to Make Snickers Iced Coffee

  • Start by drizzling chocolate and caramel sauce around the inside of your glass, then fill it with ice.
  • Stir the coffee with the chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and peanut butter, if using, until combined.
  • Pour the coffee mixture over the ice and add milk.
  • Give everything a good stir, then top your iced coffee with whipped cream and another drizzle of chocolate and caramel.
  • For an extra candy-bar touch, sprinkle chopped peanuts or pieces of Snickers over the top.

Tips for the Best Snickers Coffee

  • Start with cold coffee. Hot coffee melts the ice quickly and can water down your drink. Brew your coffee ahead of time and refrigerate it until you’re ready to use it.
  • Make it stronger. Espresso, cold brew coffee or strongly brewed coffee holds up especially well against the sweet chocolate and caramel flavors.
  • Use coffee ice cubes. They’ll keep the drink cold without diluting it.
  • Adjust the sweetness. Start with less chocolate and caramel if you don’t like very sweet coffee. You can always add more after tasting.
  • Make it extra creamy. Use whole milk, half-and-half or your favorite coffee creamer.
