Use plenty of ice (about 2 cups per 1 cup of liquid), and make sure your ingredients are chilled before blending. You can also use frozen fruit, like frozen berries or lime slices, to thicken the texture. Additionally, blend the ice and liquids slowly to avoid over-mixing and creating a watery consistency.
The standard ratio for frozen margaritas is 2 parts tequila, 1 part lime juice, and 1 part triple sec, with optional simple syrup to taste. Add enough ice to create a slushy texture, adjusting the sweetness and lime juice as needed. This ratio provides a balanced and refreshing margarita.
