Cake Batter Christmas Cookies

Cake Batter Christmas Cookies

Cake Batter Christmas Cookies

It’s time for another Mini Chef Mondays recipe! These Cake Batter Christmas Cookies are so easy for little hands to whip up in no time.

My kids (and husband) just love these easy to make cookies! Using a box of cake mix adds a delicious vanilla flavor! I think we will mix it up next time though and make them with chocolate cake mix!

Cake Batter Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

  •  1 box of Vanilla Cake Mix
  •  1 tsp baking powder
  •  2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Anywhere from 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of sprinkles!  Cake Batter Christmas Cookies
A big part of cooking with kids is letting go. A big part of the process I always controlled was letting my kids crack eggs. It was a big deal for me to let Julia crack the eggs and seeing her face when she did it was worth letting go.

Mini Chef Tip: Use a bigger bowl than needed to keep batter and flour in the bowl and not all over the place.
Cake Batter Christmas Cookies
The best part about cake batter cookies is that you change them to celebrate anything you’d like! We’ve made them for birthdays, Halloween and 4th of July!

These make great cookies for holiday cookie swaps, to give to friends or family or to just enjoy with a glass of milk! These cookies often fly out of here faster than I can package them up for gifts though!
