Make the crust by crushing peanut butter sandwich cookies and mixing with melted butter, then press firmly into a 9-inch pie dish and chill. For best results, crush the cookies finely and use a measuring cup to pack the crust tightly so it holds together when sliced.

For the filling, make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to prevent lumps in your filling.

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, creamy peanut butter, and milk until smooth.

Then gently fold in thawed whipped topping to keep the mixture light and airy.

Freeze the pie for at least 3 hours before serving. Before serving, add optional toppings like whipped cream, chocolate chips, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

For clean, smooth slices, dip your knife in hot water (then wipe dry).

Can I use a store-bought crust instead of making one?

Absolutely! A pre-made graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust works in a pinch.

How long does this pie keep in the freezer?

It’s best enjoyed within 5–7 days. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container.

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 25 peanut butter sandwich cookies
  • 5 Tbsp butter melted

For the Pie Filling:

  • 8 oz package cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ c creamy peanut butter
  • 1 c milk
  • 16 oz container frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 3-5 peanut butter sandwich cookies coarsely-chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Generously grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Prepare the crust. In a medium bowl, crush 25 peanut butter cookies using a pastry cutter or a food processor.
  • Add 5 Tbsp melted butter to the crushed cookies, and mix well.
  • Press the cookie mixture evenly into the greased pie pan.
  • Prepare the filling. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and powdered sugar using a sturdy whisk, hand mixer, or stand mixer.
  • Add creamy peanut butter and milk. Mix well.
  • Slowly fold in the whipped topping until the filling is well-combined.
  • Spoon the filling mixture into the prepared crust.
  • Garnish with 3-5 coarsely-chopped peanut butter sandwich cookies, and sprinkle to the top of the pie.
  • Freeze for 3 hours to allow the pie to set.
  • Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

To store your pie, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. Keep it in the freezer for up to 1 week for a firm, sliceable texture.
If you prefer a softer, mousse-like consistency, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Either way, let it sit at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes before slicing for the best texture and flavor.

  1. Is it 1.5 or 2 cups peanut butter? Your ingredient list says one thing and your instructions say another. I hoped to make this today but with peanut butter being the flavor, I don’t want to ruin it.

    Thanks
