Bisquick Cupcake Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- ¼ cup Crisco shortening
- 3 cups Original Bisquick mix scooped and leveled
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- Buttercream frosting recipe
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Line the regular-size muffin cups with paper liners or lightly spray with your favorite non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl add the sugar and shortening together and beat together for a few minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed.
- Then add in the eggs, one at a time, and make sure to thoroughly beat them into the mixture.
- Add in the Bisquick, milk, and vanilla and mix everything together.
- Using your spatula, scrape the insides of the bowl.
- Spoon batter into muffin tin half full then place the tins into the oven.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then check to see if they are done using a cake tester and are golden brown.
- If they are done, remove them from the oven. If not, put back in and bake at five-minute increments.
- When they are done, let them completely cool on a wire rack.
- Decorate with your favorite frosting.
- Store your cupcakes at room temperature in an airtight container.
