Can I Make 4th of July M&M Cookies Ahead of Time?

Yes! Roll dough into balls and freeze until ready to bake. Bake straight from frozen—just add 1–2 minutes to baking time.

How do I reheat leftover cookies?

To reheat, place the cookies on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven at 350°F for 3-5 minutes. This will help restore the chewy texture without overcooking.

Can I freeze M&M cookie dough?

Yes! Scoop the dough into balls, freeze them on a baking sheet until firm, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container. The dough will keep for up to 3 months. When ready to bake, place the frozen dough on a baking sheet and add 1–2 extra minutes to the baking time.

Do you add M&M’s to cookie dough before baking?

Yes! Fold M&M’s into the cookie dough before baking, then press a few extra candies on top of each dough ball so the cookies bake up colorful and festive.
