4th of July Rice Krispie Treats Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 package 10 ounces of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
- 12 oz Package White Chocolate Chips
- Non-Stick Cooking Spray
- 3 oz Red White and Blue Sprinkles
- Paper straws
Instructions
- In a large sauce pan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and and stir until they are completely melted and smooth.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal.
- Stir until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Transfer the cereal mixture into the prepared pan.
- Use a rubber spatula or your hands to press the mixture firmly into the dish into an even layer.
- Let the mixture cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares
- Stick a paper straw into the bottom creating a stick.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in microwave safe bowls in 30 second increments, stirring in between.
- Dip the tops of each Rice Krispie treat into the white melted chocolate.
- Quickly add the patriotic sprinkles.
