These 4th of July Rice Krispie Treats are quick, colorful, and crowd-pleasing. A fun, no-bake dessert for your holiday celebration.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 package 10 ounces of mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 12 oz Package White Chocolate Chips
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 3 oz Red White and Blue Sprinkles
  • Paper straws

Instructions

  1. In a large sauce pan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and and stir until they are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal. 
  4. Stir until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray. 
  6. Transfer the cereal mixture into the prepared pan. 
  7. Use a rubber spatula or your hands to press the mixture firmly into the dish into an even layer.
  8. Let the mixture cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares
  9. Stick a paper straw into the bottom creating a stick. 
  10. Melt the white chocolate chips in microwave safe bowls in 30 second increments, stirring in between. 
  11. Dip the tops of each Rice Krispie treat into the white melted chocolate.
  12. Quickly add the patriotic sprinkles.

Recipe Notes

Keep them in a sealed container at room temp for up to 3 days for best texture and flavor.
