Layer the slices of salami on top of one another on top of your wine glass, with the first layer having the least amount of slices. For example, my first layer only has three pieces of meat that are overlapping one another.
Layer the second row of meat in between the three that were laid out before where you will end up with about five pieces of meat overlapping.
The third, fourth, fifth or six layer will continue the same process until you have the desired size of a rose.
You will want to really press the pieces of salami onto the edge of your wine glass, so it sits tightly.
Flip the wine glass and meat over onto your presentation board to create the form of rose.
Leave the glass in place until you are ready to display your finished presentation.

- Look for a variety with a good balance of flavors to complement the other ingredients on your charcuterie board.
- Allow the salami slices to come to room temperature before working with them. This will make them more flexible and easier to shape into roses.

- When creating your board remember to add layers of crackers, cheese, meats, fruits, and nuts if you would like in order to offer a variety of things on your platter.
Charcuterie Rose FAQ’s
How many pieces of salami are in a salami rose?
The number of pieces of salami used to create a salami rose can vary depending on the desired size and thickness of the rose. Typically, a salami rose is made by rolling multiple slices of salami together to form the rose shape.
For a small salami rose, you might use around 3 to 5 slices of salami. However, for larger and more intricate salami roses, you may use more slices to achieve a fuller appearance.
It ultimately depends on your personal preference and the size of the salami slices you are working with. Feel free to experiment with different quantities of salami slices to create the perfect salami rose for your presentation or recipe.
Do salami roses all have to be the same size?
No, the size of your roses do not have to be the same size. Feel free to experiment with different sizes to add visual interest to your presentation. Varying the sizes can create a dynamic and appealing arrangement on your charcuterie board or appetizer platter.
Play with the number of layers when creating each rose. For smaller roses, you might use fewer layers and a champagne flute, while larger roses can incorporate more slices for a fuller appearance by using the rim of a wine glass.
