How to Make Salami Roses

I have a printable recipe card for you below with instructions and the full ingredient list.
Be sure to watch the tutorial video to get a visual on how to make your salami roses!
Layer the slices of salami on top of one another on top of your wine glass, with the first layer having the least amount of slices. For example, my first layer only has three pieces of meat that are overlapping one another.
Layer the second row of meat in between the three that were laid out before where you will end up with about five pieces of meat overlapping.
The third, fourth, fifth or six layer will continue the same process until you have the desired size of a rose.
You will want to really press the pieces of salami onto the edge of your wine glass, so it sits tightly.
Flip the wine glass and meat over onto your presentation board to create the form of a rose.
Leave the glass in place until you are ready to display your finished presentation.
Things to Keep in Mind When You are Making Your Salami Roses
- This presentation will not work with any deli meat that is not cut into a circle.
- We tested square as well as sliced deli meat neither would hold its shape as well as the circled meat would.
- When the slices of meat are pulled out of the flower it does not fall apart it will continue to hold its shape until all of the meat is off the board.
- When creating your board remember to add layers of crackers, cheese, meats, fruits, and nuts if you would like in order to offer a variety of things on your platter.

The key to creating a robust and appealing charcuterie board is to cover as much of the board as possible. So if you’re going for a picture perfect board remember more is better and color always elevates the board.
As you can see this really does not take a lot of time at all!

Just a Wine Glass and Salami?
No! Get creative! You can make different size meat roses using a champagne flute and red or white wine glasses.
Try ham, pepperoni or any other circular cured meat slices that you think would be delicious on your charcuterie board!
Salami Roses or meat flowers really make charcuterie boards stand out. How pretty will they be for Mother’s Day, Easter or a Bridal Shower?
