Copycat Disney Dole Whip Recipe

Enjoy your favorite Walt Disney World pineapple treat right at home! Cool off with this original recipe for Pineapple Dole Whip Recipe with just 3 easy ingredients!

Recently, Disney released their beloved Dole Whip recipe on social media. This is the official Disney recipe! Disney’s dole whips are one of my favorite treats on a hot day at Disney (next to Mickey ice cream bars of course).

The Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite places, so my first stop when I get to Magic Kingdom is Aloha Isle so I can get my Dole Whip Float. Then it’s off to the Enchanted Tiki Room. You can also find the original Dole Whip at select locations around Disney Springs, at the Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian, Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland or the Tiki Juice Bar at Disneyland Park. We were able to enjoy a dole whip at the wine festival at Disneyland too.

You can check the Disneyland App, Disney Parks App or the Disney Parks Blog to find this iconic Disney treat! No Disney experience is complete without one of Disney’s recipes for this famous treat. It’s no wonder there are always such long lines to grab one of Disney’s Dole Whips!

Of course, when you can’t get this popular Disney snack at the theme parks, the next best thing is to make this famous treat right at home!

I was so excited when I found out how easy it was to bring some of the Disney magic right at home by making this copycat dole whip recipe.

So how do you make Disney’s recipe right in your own kitchen? Can you believe Disney’s recipe is just 3 ingredients? Yes, it’s true! This sweet treat is made with simple ingredients like frozen pineapple, pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream. I love all of the pineapple flavor. Disney fans will be surprised that this tastes just like the real thing! I love copycat recipes!

How to Make Disney’s dole whip recipe – Official recipe

Makes a single serving

You’ll need 3 Dole Whip ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 4 ounces of pineapple juice
  • 1 big scoop of ice cream
dole whip ingredients

I like to cut my fresh pineapple into chunks and then freeze them. Then it’s time to make your frozen treat. In a food processor, blend pineapple juice, pineapple and ice cream until it’s fully incorporated.

To make your own Disney dole whip like a soft serve ice cream machine, fill a pastry bag or piping bag with the delicious pineapple treat and fill into your cup or bowl. For best results, enjoy right away. You can keep your official dole whip recipe in an airtight container in the freezer. But, I bet it will only last for a little bit!

If you need to, you can substitute with dairy-free ice cream or a 1 cup coconut milk.

How to Make a Traditional Dole Whip Float

Make your copycat Disney dole whip into a float by pouring extra pineapple juice into a chilled glass and then top with your dole whip and a maraschino cherry. The end result is an easy recipe that is perfect for a hot summer day!

I actually had the classic dole whip for the first time when we visited the Dole Plantation on our trip to Hawaii many years ago. The iconic dole whip swirl was just one of the best treats I have ever had!
