How to Make St Patrick’s Day Bark
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces high-quality white chocolate chips or vanilla almond bark
- ½ cup marshmallow creme
- ½ teaspoon milk
- Green gel food coloring (optional)
- ¼ cup Lucky Charms cereal
- Green sprinkles
Easy Steps
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Before melting the white chocolate, prepare the marshmallow creme and cereal.
Add the marshmallow creme into a small bowl and stir in the milk (this makes it easier to work with). Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, and stir until desired color is achieved.
Add the Lucky Charms cereal into a zip-top bag and slightly crush with a mallet or rolling pin (not too fine that it becomes a powder).
In a medium microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the white chocolate until smooth. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stir, then continue heating in 10 second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate is completely melted. The white chocolate will set rather quickly, so spread onto the parchment paper immediately after it’s melted.
Using a spoon or spatula, spread the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper into a rectangular shape (about 10 x 8 inches; does not need to be perfect). Spread to desired thickness – about ⅛ inch thick.
While the white chocolate is still wet, add spoonfuls of the marshmallow creme and swirl using the back of a spoon to blend them together.
On top of the marshmallow creme, evenly distribute the crushed Lucky Charms cereal and green sprinkles. Let the chocolate sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes or chill in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
Break or cut into pieces and serve.

Lucky Leprechaun Bark FAQs
How should I store the Lucky Charms bark?
Store chocolate bark in an air-tight container at room temperature for 1 week or in a cool place for up to 2 weeks.
What is Lucky Charms bark?
This bark is melted white chocolate, with a green marshmallow creme swirl, topped with green sprinkles and crushed Lucky Charms cereal for that perfect combination of chocolate and marshmallows.
Do I have to do all of the steps while the chocolate is still wet?
For best results, the marshmallow creme, crushed cereal, and sprinkles all need to be added while the chocolate is still wet in order to swirl the creme and ensure the cereal and sprinkles will stick.
Why not use just the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms cereal?
If preferred, just the marshmallows from the cereal can be used! I like to add the cereal as well, since there’s already a strong marshmallow flavor from the marshmallow creme. It gives additional flavor, texture, and crunch.
How to Decorate White Chocolate Bark for St Patrick’s Day?
There are many different ways to decorate candy bark recipes for St. Patrick’s Day, besides using a box of Lucky Charms! You can use green candy melts, sprinkle green m&m’s into the chocolate or use gold sprinkles or edible glitter for a final touch that screams a pot of gold.
