Leprechaun Bark
Leprechaun bark is the kind of fun, festive treat you make when you want something cute for St. Patrick’s Day without spending hours in the kitchen or juggling complicated steps.
If you’re short on time, low on patience, or just not in the mood for baking, this easy St Patricks Day dessert checks all the boxes while still feeling special enough to share.
It’s perfect for parties, classroom treats, gifting, or a sweet holiday snack at home.
Best of all, this treat is incredibly delicious with the perfect mix of sweet, crunchy, and colorful bites, and it comes together so quickly that you’ll wonder why you don’t make it for every holiday.

How to Make St Patrick’s Day Bark
- White chocolate is melted until smooth, then spread onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Work quickly once the chocolate is melted since white chocolate sets fast. Have your marshmallow creme and toppings ready before you start.
- Marshmallow creme mixed with a splash of milk (and optional green coloring) is swirled right into the melted chocolate for a soft, creamy contrast.
- Crush the Lucky Charms lightly so you still get colorful pieces and texture instead of cereal dust.
- Add the cereal and green sprinkles on top for crunch and color.
- Once everything is layered, the bark is left to set, then broken into pieces for an easy, sweet, and colorful holiday treat.

It typically sets within 30–45 minutes at room temperature, or you can refrigerate it for about 15–20 minutes to speed things up.
No. The coloring is optional. The cereal and sprinkles already give it plenty of St. Patrick’s Day color.
Freezing isn’t recommended, as the chocolate and marshmallow swirl can change texture once thawed.

St Patrick’s Day Bark Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 ounces high-quality white chocolate chips or vanilla almond bark
- ½ cup marshmallow creme I used Jet-Puffed
- ½ teaspoon milk
- Green gel food coloring optional
- ¼ cup Lucky Charms cereal
- Green sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Before melting the white chocolate, prepare the marshmallow creme and cereal.
- Add the marshmallow creme into a small bowl and stir in the milk (this makes it easier to work with). Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, and stir until desired color is achieved.
- Add the Lucky Charms cereal into a zip-top bag and slightly crush with a mallet or rolling pin (not too fine that it becomes a powder).
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the white chocolate until smooth. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stir, then continue heating in 10 second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate is completely melted. The white chocolate will set rather quickly, so spread onto the parchment paper immediately after it’s melted.
- Using a spoon or spatula, spread the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper into a rectangular shape (about 10 x 8 inches; does not need to be perfect). Spread to desired thickness – about ⅛ inch thick.
- While the white chocolate is still wet, add spoonfuls of the marshmallow creme and swirl using the back of a spoon to blend them together.
- On top of the marshmallow creme, evenly distribute the crushed Lucky Charms cereal and green sprinkles.
- Let the chocolate sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes or chill in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
- Break or cut into pieces and serve.
