Texas Toast French Toast

Texas Toast French Toast is thick, fluffy, and perfectly golden with soft centers and crispy buttery edges. This easy breakfast recipe is perfect for weekend brunch, holiday mornings, or cozy family breakfasts.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread - Texas Toast
  • 4 large eggs
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4-8 strawberries sliced
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt
  • syrup

Instructions

  1. Heat a square griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the strawberries.
  3. Add eggs, milk, and cinnamon to a shallow dish and whisk until completely combined.
  4. Dip each side of the texas toast into the egg mixture and place bread in the frying pan. 
  5. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until lightly browned, then flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes.
  6. At 2 pieces of french toast to each plate, and top with butter (if desired), strawberries, and syrup.

Recipe Notes

  • Store leftover Texas Toast French Toast in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, warm slices in a toaster oven, skillet, or air fryer until heated through and slightly crisp again.
  • You can also freeze cooked French toast slices between layers of parchment paper for quick breakfasts later.
