Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp milk

  1. Beat together the peanut butter and butter until creamy.

  2. Add the powdered sugar and salt, beating until the mixture is smooth.

  3. Add the milk to the frosting, scraping down the sides, and beat until fluffy or about 1 minute.

Recipe Notes

This recipe makes enough frosting for about 24 cupcakes with a nice swirl on top, or it can cover a two-layer 8-inch cake generously. If you prefer extra-thick layers of frosting or larger piping swirls, you may want to make 1.5x the recipe to be safe.
