How to Make Root Beer Float Popsicles

Cool off with root beer float popsicles made with creamy vanilla ice cream and fizzy soda. An easy, nostalgic summer treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 can - a&w root beer
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. The first step is to allow the vanilla ice cream to sit out until it becomes slightly melted. 
  2. Fill each of the ice pop molds about ⅓ full of vanilla ice cream
  3. Pour root beer into each mold. 
  4. Allow the root beer foam to go down and then pour a little more until each mold is filled to the top. 
  5. Insert the popsicle sticks  
  6. Freeze homemade popsicles overnight and serve. 
  7. Tip: The best way to remove the popsicles from the mold is to run the bottom portion of the mold under warm water. 

Recipe Notes

They store well in the freezer for up to 2 weeks when kept in an airtight container.
