Honey Butter Biscuit Recipe

Soft, flaky honey butter biscuits baked until golden and brushed with a sweet honey butter glaze. This easy homemade biscuit recipe is perfect for breakfast, dinner, or holiday meals.

Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter chilled and chopped
  • ⅓ Cup buttermilk chilled
  • ½ tsp cream of Tartar

For the Honey butter:

  • ½ cup butter melted.
  • ⅓ cup honey

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients - flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
  3. Cut in chopped butter into the flour mixture with pastry blender or a fork.
  4. Add melted butter milk and combine until fully incorporated.
  5. Drop rounded spoonful’s of batter onto a prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops of the biscuits with honey butter
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Brush with more honey butter glaze when finished

Recipe Notes

Store in an airtight container for 2–3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week.
