Ingredients

  • 3 Lemons
  • 8 cups of water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. The key to making this the best homemade lemonade recipe is fresh lemons.
  2. Juice 3 large lemons with a citrus juicer.
  3. To get the juice flowing and easier to slice, roll the lemon with the palm of your hand applying gentle pressure a few times.
  4. Add the fresh lemon juice to a large pitcher. Then add in 8 cups of ice cold water.
  5. Stir in your sweetener of choice. If using sugar, use 1/2 cup or less, to your preferences. Natural sweeteners can be used as well.
  6. Stir until the sugar dissolves and chill your pitcher of lemonade.
  7. Serve a big glass of cold lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon.
