Easter Dirt Cake is an easy no-bake dessert with layers of chocolate pudding, crushed cookies, and festive Easter candy the whole family will love.
Add oreos to a food processor and process for 15 seconds until fine crumbs are formed.
Remove 1-1/2 cups crumbs and set aside.
Keeping remaining cookie crumbs in the food processor, add melted butter and process for 10 seconds.
Use a spoon to make sure the butter has coated all of the cookies.
Spoon mixture into a 9x13 baking pan and use the back of a spoon to press the cookie crumbs evenly into the pan.
Refrigerate while you work on the filling.
Add cream cheese and powdered sugar to a mixer and beat until combined and smooth. Set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together pudding and milk until smooth, about 3 minutes.
Fold in the whipped topping. Add to the cream cheese in the mixer and beat, until combined, about 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides halfway through.
Spoon pudding mixture on top of crust and top with reserved cookie crumbs. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Before serving, decorate the cake using marshmallow peeps, edible grass and candies. You may need to use the back of a spoon to press a divot into the dirt cake so that the bunny stands up on the cake.
When adding the edible grass, break off different lengths of grass and align them on the bottom. Gently press them into the cake. Toss a few candies around the bunnies and grass.
Serve immediately. Refrigerate any leftovers, covered.
Store it covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. The cookies will continue to soften, giving it a more cake-like texture over time.
