Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounce box of Chocolate Fudge cake mix
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. 
  2. Prepare a 9×9 baking pan by lining it with parchment paper and spraying it with nonstick cooking spray. 
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the box of cake mix, oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and water.
  4. Don't overmix the batter for a fudgier texture.
  5. Pour the cake mix brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. 
  6. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top. 
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven or until the sides are set, and a toothpick inserted into the comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. To maintain that beloved fudgy texture, avoid overbaking. 
  9. Allow the brownies to cool completely. 
  10. Once cooled, lift them out using the parchment paper and cut into 12 squares.
  11. Serve your gooey brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of hot fudge sauce.
