4cupsBisquick Baking Mixplus lots of extra for patting out the dough
1cupsour cream
1cup7Up
½cup1 stick of butter
Instructions
Preheat a 425ºf oven. While the oven is preheating, place a 9x13 casserole dish with the stick of butter in the oven to melt the butter.
Meanwhile, mix Bisquick, sour cream, and 7Up in a large mixing bowl.
Make sure your 7Up and sour cream are cold when you add them to the mix. This helps keep the dough light and fluffy.
Using Bisquick, flour your work surface, and pour the dough onto the surface.
Sprinkle additional Bisquick over top.
Fold the dough, and keep adding extra bisquick, until the dough becomes manageable and doesn't stick to your hands terribly.
Don't forget your melting butter, remove the pan from the oven once it is melted.
Pat dough into a 1 inch thick circle.
Use a round biscuit cutter, or the rim of a glass, like a wine glass to cut out the biscuits.
Place them into the buttered pan in a single layer.
Don’t skimp on the butter in the baking dish. It adds a wonderful flavor and ensures the biscuits don’t stick.
Keep combining the dough to cut new biscuits, until you get 12.
Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
Remove your delicious biscuits from the oven and allow the biscuits to cool some in the pan and absorb all of the butter.
Recipe Notes
