Philly Cheesesteak Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 lbs thinly sliced beef
  • 1 sliced green bell peppers
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 8 slices provolone cheese slices
  • Steak rolls optional

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and slice bell pepper into ½ inch strips.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. 
  4. Cook green peppers and diced onions until soft and translucent. 
  5. Add the steak slices, mushrooms, and seasonings too sauteed peppers.
  6. Cook over medium heat until the meat is done and vegetables are tender.
  7. Drain excess grease.
  8. Add the beef bouillon cubes, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
  9. Add provolone cheese to the top of the casserole and transfer the skillet to the oven for 15 minutes until the cheese melts. 
  10. Serve as is or as a sandwich on a steak roll.
  11. Serve leftover casserole in an airtight container.
