Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 15.25 oz cake mix plus ingredients to make cake
  • 30 ice cream cones
  • 2 tubs tubs of frosting
  • rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and prepare cake mix according to package directions.

  2. Place ice cream cones onto a baking sheet or in a baking pan.

  3. Using a 2 tablespoon portion scoop, scoop batter into each cone.

  4. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely before icing. 

  6. Place frosting into an 18" pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.

  7. Pipe frosting onto each cone and top with sprinkles.

  8. Serve immediately or cover loosely until ready to serve. 

Recipe Notes

Store loosely covered at room temperature for up to 24 hours. Avoid airtight containers, which can soften the cones.
