How to Make Sugared Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cranberries washed and dried.
  • 2 cups regular granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, dissolve white sugar in water over medium low heat.
  2. Add cranberries to the warm sugar syrup and simmer for 3 minutes until tender but not bursting.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Add the sugar for coating and cranberries to a sheet pan or large bowl. 

  5. Mix the cranberries to coat them evenly.

Recipe Notes

Let them cool completely, then store in a shallow container at room temp. Avoid sealing them too tightly or refrigerating, as moisture can melt the sugar.
