When the weather turns colder, it seems my body just craves all of the vitamins and nutrients it can get. Now that I am working part-time in our school district, I feel like I am constantly at battle with germs like you wouldn’t believe. Everyday I like to start my morning with a delicious green smoothie.
Green Smoothies can seem intimating if you never made one before, but I can guarantee once you get the taste where you like it, you’ll want one everyday!
How to Make the Best Green Smoothie
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup kale
- 2 cups liquid — water, apple juice or almond milk
- 3 cups fruit — I do a frozen tropical base of bananas, pineapple, mango
In a blender, blend together spinach and kale with liquid. Then add your frozen fruit and blend. Enjoy immediately.
Making green smoothies like this literally takes less than 2 minutes to whip up and then you can enjoy it even on the go if you need to!
