• I opted to use one of my mason jars and a lid meant to transform your mason jar into a cup. It worked perfectly for my purpose!
• Just keep in mind if you do this, to remove the rubber stopper.
• If you don't use a lid like this and decide to use the mason jar lid, use a screwdriver and hammer or a dremel to poke a hole in the middle of your lid.
• Pull your wick through the hole, fill the jar with citronella and voila! A DIY Mason Jar Citronella Candle!

Notes

Tip: Having trouble getting the wick through the hole? Use a small piece of duct tape to wrap the end of the wick and then pull it through the hole.

• Use tongs or use spoon to remove the egg and gently lay it on a paper towel without touching it as much as possible.
• Allow wet eggs to sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes or until no longer wet before placing it back in the egg carton.

• Keep in the liquid up to 5 mins or longer for darker colors.
• Carefully remove the egg and set it aside to dry.

Instructions

• Layer your 8-10 pieces of tissue paper together.
• Trace a circle onto the tissue paper with the cup as your guide.
• Cut it out, through the layers of the paper.
• Make 2 small holes in the center using the tip of the scissors.
• Insert one end of your pipe cleaner into the first hole and loop it down into the second hole.
• Twist it around itself to secure your tissue paper circles onto you pipe cleaner. This is going to be your flower and your stem!
• Scrunch up the first layer of your tissue paper at the base where it connects to your pipe cleaner.
• Keep doing this for each layer, sort of turning as you go so each layer is scrunched together at different angles.
• To make the leaves just take another pipe cleaner and cut it into 2 pieces.
• Twist each piece onto the pipe cleaner stem and shape into a leaf.
