These Easter Bunny Tail Cookies are a sweet and fun way to celebrate this spring holiday!
This year, Easter is going to look very different. Usually we are enjoying the day with our family having a big meal, going on an egg hunt and relaxing. This year, since we are quarantined or social distancing, we will be spending the day very low key here at home with each other.
I usually also do a lot of baking at Easter. This year, I am trying to conserve our resources and ingredients in the kitchen, so we won’t be doing anything extravagant. I do have a ton of these delicious cookies on hand though from Voortman cookies, so check out these adorable Easter Bunny Tail Cookies I made out of our favorite Oatmeal Raisin cookies!

How to make Easter Bunny Tail Cookies
You will need:
- Your favorite cookies: doesn’t matter if they are homemade or store bought, up to you! I am using Voortman’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies for this recipe.
- White chocolate candy coating, wafers or chips
- Cookie rack
- Parchment paper
Put a piece of parchment paper underneath your cookie rack.
Melt the chocolate in 30 second intervals to be sure it doesn’t burn. Stir after each interval. When your chocolate is melted, dip in each cookie with a fork.
After you dip the cookie in the chocolate, place it on your cookie rack.
Then make your bunnies!
You could use a kit like I did or use mini cookies for the feet. You could always make the feet out of icing even if you are savvy like that or have the ingredients on hand.
Can’t find anything like that right now? No worries!
You can always leave the feet off and just have a cute little bunny tail made out of a gum ball or another type of round candy, a pinch of shredded coconut, some white sprinkles or even a mini marshmallow.
After you make the bunny tail cookies, let the chocolate harden on your cookies by letting the Easter Bunny Tail Cookies stay at room temperature on your counter.
I’d love to see how you got creative with this!
Aren’t they adorable? My daughter had a lot of fun putting these together with me. So besides a tasty and cute treat, making Easter Bunny Tail cookies can be something fun to do together on Easter!
And really how cute is a bunny’s behind with their fluffy tail and their big floppy feet? The kids thought it was hysterical to make Easter Bunny Tail Cookies because of that!
