Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

Sharing is caring!

This Christmas, we met up with our family from Florida in Gatlinburg, TN. It was the half way point for both families and the highlight of our trip was our visit to Dollywood

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas has been voted America’s Best Christmas event for 12 consecutive years fostering family memory making for guests for years to come!

*Thank you to Dollywood for hosting our family!

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

“There’s nothing like Christmas in the Smokies,” Dolly Parton said. “I’ve been a lot of places and seen a lot of things, but the feeling of being home with the people I love at Christmas really is one of the most special things in the world to me. It’s my hope that the people who come experience my Dollywood at Christmas make those same sweet memories they’ll be able to share forever. I also hope we’re able to help them start some brand new Christmas traditions right here!”

Presented by Humana, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas runs Nov. 9, 2019 through Jan. 4, 2020. Guests can enjoy an impressive count of more than five million lights, Dollywood’s Parade of Many Colors, heartwarming Christmas entertainment, delicious holiday meals at Dollywood’s award-winning dining locations and all of the fun of Dollywood’s signature rides and attractions!

While we did not eat at Dollywood, the food choices and treats were aplenty! Everything looked and smelled delicious! A few friends told me to pick up a loaf of cinnamon bread at the Grist Mill, but unfortunately we just never made it there.

We have been to so many amusement parks over the years and some just have a vibe that is hectic and chaotic. We loved how Dollywood was so relaxed and enjoyable. Throughout the park you can just feel and see all of the culture, crafts and history of the Smoky Mountains.

Sadly, we only had one day to enjoy at Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas and I wish we had at least another day. If I had to plan our trip again, I would plan to do all of the shows one day and the rides another. We had 8 kids ranging from ages 5 to 15 with us and all of them found something to see and do throughout the day. That was a win!

Dollywood was enjoyable for the entire family! The decorations were beautiful and along with the thrilling rides it’s a recipe for a great time for all.
