Happy Halloween! We are so excited to get dressed up in our costumes very soon and go trick-or-treating! And I say “we” because hey, I can’t wait to get my “mom tax” on Halloween candy, you know what I mean?
I love making little fun little things for the kids for holidays. So many of my friends say they don’t have time to make something like these DIY Haunted Wafer Houses. But, these are so easy, read on to find out!
DIY Haunted Wafer Houses
*Thank you Voortman for sponsoring these DIY haunted wafer houses.
I made a few houses as a little Halloween treat for the kids. My daughter even helped me put them together! I’m loving the new Voortman Fudge Coated wafers! Voortman products have such a nostalgic feel to me!
Voortman really prides themselves in the fact that they are made with real ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial flavors. The new fudge coated wafers come in 4 delicious varieties:
How to make these DIY Haunted Wafer Houses:
Supplies
1 box Voortman Fudge Coated wafers (up to you which variety you would like to use)
Melted chocolate or black cookie icing in a piping bag
Halloween candy and cake decors
Instructions
Cut 1 wafer in half. On each end, cut the corners to make a point to make the house.
Cut another wafer in half.
Use the 1 half as the bottom of the house.
Cut the other half, in half to make thinner pieces for the roof.
Using the frosting or chocolate as glue, “glue” the pointed pieces onto the base. “Glue” the roof pieces on. “Glue” the candies on.
Be sure to check out what other delicious varieties are available from Voortman Bakery on their website here.

Any excuse to buy these wafers--I'm in! I heard they're coming out with seasonal flavors for Christmas. What a great idea for a craft. Thanks for sharing.
