Make your favorite coffee shop beverage right at home! This Chai Tea recipe is very easy to make and full of spices and flavor! Comfort in a cup!
I started drinking Chai Tea about 12 years ago after I met my husband. I never had it before and after he introduced me to it, I was hooked!
I’ve tried so many different types from coffee shops and really I only like my own recipe. Now, whenever the weather starts getting brisk and cool, I want a delicious chai tea.
This Chai Tea recipe is my go-to when I need some comfort. It’s so soothing and wonderful to me.
How to Make a Delicious Chai Tea Recipe
First things first, you want to make some of your own Chai Spice. Make this spice blend and keep it in a jar to keep it fresh and long lasting.
To make homemade Chai spice:
Mix together:
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 1/2 tsp ground cardamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
To make your Chai tea recipe:
- Bring a cup of milk just to a boil.
- Add a black tea bag to your milk and steep.
- Add 2 tbsp of your chai spice mix.
- For sweetness, add a tablespoon of honey.
- Top with whipped cream.
While, yes, you can buy Chai Tea concentrate in stores, I find that is often not as flavorful and usually full of a lot of additives. Making your own Chai Tea recipe right at home is easy enough.

I really appreciate this tutorial! I love chai tea and although I don't have the chance to grab a cup of it at my favorite cafe all the time, it would be awesome to be able to make it at the comfort of my own home!
