This Hot Chocolate Recipe made in your Crock Pot will keep you warm and cozy all winter long!
Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe
The weather is getting colder and around here everyone is eagerly awaiting that first snow fall. There’s nothing better than a day off of school and work on a snowy day.
If your kids are anything like mine, they wake up first thing in the morning to check the window and see how much snow is out there. Once we get a good amount, boots and coats are on and we are out the door to our favorite sledding hill!
After hours of fun, it’s time to come back inside and get warm and cozy. I usually get this Crock Pot Hot Chocolate going before we head on out to sled and by the time we get back inside it is ready to enjoy!
How to Make This Crock Pot Hot Chocolate Recipe
In your crock pot, combine milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Cook on low for about 3 hours. Your hot chocolate is ready when the chocolate is melted! Be sure to serve with whipped cream or mini marshmallows!
I like the keep all of these ingredients on hand all winter long. Generally, this recipe makes about 8 8oz cups, but of course there may be left overs. Just store those in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat as needed. Your hot chocolate will last about 3-4 days in the fridge.
