Here’s what you will need:
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 1 medium green pepper (chopped)
- 2 cans diced tomatoes (28oz ea, drained )
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8oz ea)
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 can tomato paste (6oz )
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tsp basil, oregano, parsley (each )
- spaghetti or other pasta
Step 1: Combine the first 6 ingredients. Add beef and mix well.
Step 2: Shape into eight meatballs, brown on all sides over medium heat. Drain and set aside
Now at this point, you can simmer the meatballs until cooked through to your liking in your favorite sauce recipe or use my recipe that I use.
Step 3: Cook sausage, onion, pepper, until tender.
Step 4: In a large heavy pot, add sausage, vegetables, 1/2lb ground beef and meatballs.
Step 5: Add tomatoes, sauce, broth, paste, garlic and seasonings.
Step 6: Stir gently. Bring to a boil.
Step 7: Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours.
Serve your meatballs and sauce over your favorite pasta. Yes, spaghetti is classic, but I love this sauce served with rigatoni. Of course, a loaf of delicious bread is needed to mop up all of the delicious sauce.

I loved this movie as a kid and always think of it when eating long spaghetti noodles. I gave a few to my dogs and was hoping for a video worthy moment but instead, it was messy and they ate the sauce off of the noodles rather than eating the noodles. lol I am excited to try both your recipe and watch this movie again!

Oh wow, this looks so delicious! I owned Lady and the Tramp on VHS, man does time fly. I absolutely love pasta and spaghetti is comfort food to me. I love how it can be made with either just tomato sauce or everything in-between. Meatballs and/or ground beef in spaghetti go together like PB&J.

Mmmm, mmmmm, good! We love spaghetti and we truly love the movie Lady and the Tramp! I need to update my copy for I only have it on the VHS. This is an old classic Disney movie that I know my kids will enjoy watching with a bowl of spaghetti!

What a tasty-looking, classic dish! We have spaghetti and meatballs a few times a month. I usually make regular pasta for the kids while my husband and I have zoodles.
