5 Ways to Relax in Under 5 Minutes

This summer has proven to be difficult for me. Between wanting to enjoy a fun summer break with the kids, household chores and my work, I am in a daily struggle to get it all done.
Did you notice what I didn’t mention in there? Time for myself! I realized around mid-July that it had been weeks since I gave myself some time to unwind and relax. That’s why I have found quick and easy ways to give myself some time relax. Self-care is so important! Here are just a few of my favorite ways to relax in under five minutes.
Taking care of ourselves as moms is so important. I have always felt that a happy mom means a happy family. We are the glue that holds our families together and if we are falling apart then there is no way things will run smoothly.
I try to take just 5 minutes to lay down with my head on the pillow to just quietly sit and unwind.
A few minutes of yoga, stretching, a walk, run or even a swim really recharges me.
I love a few minutes to do a word search, Sudoku or a crossword puzzle. Sometimes just using my brain in a different way does the trick.
I love diffusing some essential oils like lavender, orange or peppermint to relax me.
Enjoy a good drink
